Railway Labor Act, 1934
   An amendment to the Railway Labor Act of 1926 passed to give railway workers the same rights to collective bargaining provided to other workers under the National Industrial Recovery Act, the Railway Labor Act passed on 21 June 1933 established a National Railway Adjustment Board with both employee members and members from trade unions. The act protected workers’ organizations from interference and prohibited “yellow dog contracts” requiring workers to join company unions.
